Design Process

A landscape design or plan is a very useful tool. It helps refine your vision, and it allows us to determine exactly what a project will cost and how long it will take to implement. It is particularly useful if you are getting multiple landscape project bids and want to compare apples to apples. The Design Packet will include concept plan, a master Plan, plant schedule/list, overall estimate and value engineer estimate. A landscape designer can also become your on-site manager during installation for changes and questions about materials, furniture, fixtures and design.

If you have any questions regarding landscape design please feel free to email our designer personally at niki@waterwiselandscapes.com

Ideas

With the client we discuss landscape goals and how they interface with the clients’ personality. We will spend the time to make sure we understand your vision and provide professional input about your ideas and possibly introduce new ideas that are available. Many times our design is based off a hybrid of your wants and our design vision and expertise.

Drafting

Based on client-supplied media (pictures, drawings, images and written preferences) and the initial meeting we will generate a Concept Plan for the property. The Concept Plan is intended to serve as a discussion guide; modifications are expected. Positive and negative feedback is highly sought-after at this point in the process.

Final Design

After the Concept Plan is sufficiently worked over we will submit the First Revision, at which point cost schedules and installation budgets (two estimates, regular and value engineered) will also be discussed. Based on the cost and estimate changes we will make corrections and revise the plan for The Final design. It is important all details are nailed down at this point and addition revisions done if needed for accurate estimates.
