Do we need a landscape design?
A landscape design or plan is a very useful tool. It helps refine your vision, and it allows us to determine exactly what a project will cost and how long it will take to implement. It is particularly useful if you are getting multiple landscape project bids and want to compare apples to apples.
If we have you do the design, do we have to use you for the install?
Not at all. Though we often present pricing as part of the design process, we want clients to use whomever they feel most comfortable with for their landscaping project. If you like us for the design and someone else for the install, we want you to choose the best options for your project.
Do you do maintenance?
We do spring and fall clean-ups as well as summer mowing. We service all types of water features and fountains. We also do property maintenance using the most environmentally sensible equipment we can, including battery powered mowers, 4 cycle and natural gas powered equipment.
Do you do small jobs?
Yes. Although larger jobs often allow us to be more cost effective and efficient, we will do jobs of most any sizes, especially for existing clients.
Do you do residential vs. commercial?
We started this business focusing on water-efficient residential landscapes in Northern Colorado. Somehow we found ourselves excelling at more and more complex commercial water features. We are happy to build water projects when they are in our region, but we most often service commercial landscaping clients in the Fort Collins area. When commercial projects are not available, we go right back to what we started our business with and are more than happy to do so.
For a company that builds big commercial water features, are you affordable for residential work?
We are very aware of market prices; we try to be efficient, fair and reasonable to both our residential and commercial clients. We are willing to collaborate and cooperate with other contractors if that results in a better project and price point for the client.
Do you do free estimates?
We will give one free 45-minute landscape design consultation. Thereafter, you will be advised as to how many hours it will take to complete your design (including 2 progress meetings) in preparation for installation. Of course, if you are installing just a specific feature and/or element we would be able to provide you with an estimate at no charge. If you already have a design, we can provide a free estimate from your plan.
Do you do design only?
We do not. We are a design build Landscape Company and do landscape design with the intent of following through to installation.
What if I already have a plan, will you install my design?
Yes, we will be happy to look at someone else’s design and give you an estimate on what it will take to install it. We work with local Landscape Architects and their designs on a regular basis helping to bring their visions to life. If your design drawings are not complete we may charge for the design time to complete them for estimating purposes.
Do you sub out your work?
As a company we have a very large skill set. That said, if a component of the project is very specialized such as a sculpture or requires the use of a licensed tradesman like an electrician we may use sub-contractors. Everyone on our projects are licensed or insured or both.
When can you start my landscape project?
Depending on the time of year and the projects we have in queue, you can expect that from the beginning of design to the beginning of installation will take approximately 30 to 60 days. Once the estimate is completed and all aspects of the design have been secured, we can proceed to scheduling for your installation and signing the installation contract.
How long will it take to complete a project from design through installation?
It depends on the complexity of the project and possible changes made during the construction of your landscape. Every project is different, but we strive to complete all projects in an efficient and timely manner.
